I know this topic hasn't been replied to in a while, but I think custom brush size is kinda redundant, since I'm not even sure how it'd be implemented.

We should have 1x1, 2x2, 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 brushes instead of 1x1, 3x3, 5x5, 7x7, and 9x9. I never saw a use in brushes larger than 5x5, especially since there are already other tools that exist that make room editing easier

How about instead of x-by-x brushes, we should have x-by-y brushes?

He’ll call it a dumb take or something.

The only hard thing would be the UI design. If you don’t do it correctly, QwertymanO07 and crazyal02 are going to complain!

Here's a mockup I've made:

If anyone wants the window in the mockup:

Good job. Even I don’t care about UI design and still don’t like it.

Why don't you just use the scroll wheel?  Scroll up and down to increase and decrease the brush y, respectively, and hold Shift to edit the brush x.

These were orginally sliders, but then i decided that would be redundant

If I'm gonna be honest, I agree. I don't like how you have to scroll to change the brush X and Y.

Let’s keep throwing the “term” “UI design” around. UI design! UI design!

I bet he’s going to suggest having up-and-down arrows to click on instead, or some dumb shit.

Well that's one way to do it, but I'm not too fond of it.  Shift + arrow keys would be better.

Oh, also, you already scroll to be able to quickly change from one tool to the next, and already use shift+scroll to change from one subtool to the next.

Good job beating a dead horse.  If you decide to stop, you'll find that we're already done with that idea.

In case someone might think, “But what about this?”
« Reply #17 on: 18 Mar 2017, 20:51 (7 years and 0 months ago) »
I already quite know that we’re done with that idea, however, that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be allowed to find more things wrong with it.
